mtn. GOAT CAPITAL mgmt. (Goat Capital) is a Sheridan, Wyoming based holding company that invests in startup and micro-middle market companies domiciled in the United States and abroad. Using proprietary search we seek companies with identifiable growth opportunities across a wide array of industries. Specifically, we look for individual or family-owned-and-operated businesses that have a need for liquidity or desire a strategic partner to help grow and scale the business for next-level success.
With an office in Tokyo, Japan we are active in the Asian markets as well as those at home.

MICRO-MIDDLE MARKET COMMITMENT
Small businesses are principally overlooked by private equity firms as they seek lower-middle market and larger deals. This results in a discrepancy between the number of businesses looking for partnerships and the amount of capital and value-add available to them.

Working cheek by jowl with management post a successful transaction, strategic and tactical execution is our value creation mechanism. Establishing inefficient processes into efficient ones, procuring lower supply chain costs, improving existing technology and leveraging network and industry expertise are amongst a host of activities that are crucial to the success of the business.

Currently we are seeking e-commerce focused single U.S. or Asia-based businesses with $0–5 million in annual revenues. Generally, we are industry-agnostic and partner with businesses fitting these criteria:

jshofner@mtngoatcapital.comJoe has a diverse background painting his career as a financial advisor, portfolio manager, entrepreneur and business consultant. Prior to founding Goat Capital, Joe launched a 400‐student international school in China teaching both Chinese standards and American common core curriculum. Preceding the school venture, various consulting clientele lead Joe amongst the ranks of supply chain management, ERP systems, marketing directives, management recruitment and international trade. Joe's career began as a financial advisor and portfolio manager at Bank of America – Merrill Lynch where he and his team managed north of $300 million and oversaw a proprietary option trading strategy. During his tenure, Joe also managed multiple ESOP and business 401(k) plans in addition to closing several secured business bank loans.
Joe received his B.A. in Finance at the University of Minnesota – Duluth. When not in the office or Tokyo you will find him hiking somewhere between the Arizona Sonoran Desert and Montana's Beartooth Wilderness or spearfishing Hawaiian reefs.
KELLY ZHENG
MANAGING PARTNER
Kelly has spent the majority of her career as an entrepreneur or in various C‐level positions between the United States and Asia. She is currently sourcing and logistics chief operator while acting CEO of her family and activity coordinator for her beautiful 5-year-old daughter. Preceding her current roles Kelly has built from the ground up a retail furniture chain with locations throughout the Midwest and founded an international school in China. She also has an extensive background in journalism where she worked for CNN Beijing and Switzerland National Television.
Kelly earned her B.A. and Master's Degree from California State University – Northridge. She will be the first to tell you "food" is her favorite pastime hobby with yoga a close second.
